Day 1 Arrival to Ulaanbaatar -UB

·         Arrival at UB Airport, meeting with English Speaking guide

·         Transfer to Hotel

Day 2  Ulaanbaatar

• After breakfast visit to Gandan Monastery-the largest lamasery in the country and the Center of Mongolian Buddhism.
• Lunch at the Restaurant "One Day of Mongolia" by hotel Bayangol in Ulaanbaatar.
• Traditional Mongolian cuisine.
• Sightseeing in Ulaanbaatar:
• Museum of Natural History - famous archaeological findings from Gobi related to dinosaurs.
• Dinner and overnight in hotel

Day 3: Högnö Khan Mountain - Elsen Tasarhai – Karakorum

·         Drive to Karakorum (360 km) on the new steppe highway

• A Stop at the Hogno Khan Peak (260km; 4 Hr)
• Sightseeing at the Erdene Hambin Monastery and lunch pause
• Next stop after a 5km off road drive at Elsen Tasarhai (Sand dunes in the middle of steppes and mountains)
• Dinner and overnight in Ger Camp at Sand dunes.

 Day4:  Karakorum – Erdenezuu Kloster – Harbalgas

• Breakfast in camp
• Drive to Karakorum about 100 km
• Accommodation in our own "Khangai Tours" ger camp
• Sightseeing at the Erdene Zuu Monastery (7 km away from camp), the first lamasery of Mongolia, guests can observe monks doing praying ceremonies. Continue sightseeing at the ruins of Karakorum (also spelt Kharkhorin), the once capital city of the Mongol Empire.
• Lunch in camp.
• Visit to a nomadic family.
• Back at the camp guests can ride horses, try out Mongolian bows and arrows, swim in the Orkhon river or relax with Asian massage by our masseur.
• After the dinner a welcoming folk concert with throat singing, unique Mongolian long songs and horse head violin play will be organized for our guests
• Overnight in our own "Khangai" ger camp.

 Day5 : Shanh Temple - Uurtiin Tohoi Canyon – Ulaan Waterfall

• Drive 20 km on light off road to Shanh temple, takes 1/2 Hr.
• Sight seeing at the Shanh temple, one of the few religious sites which escaped communist purges.
• Drive onward to Uurtiin Tohoi (40 km off road, 3/4 Hr)
• Lunch picnic in the nature
• After 1,5 Hr. 50 km jeep trip reach Ulaan Waterfall on Orkhon river
• Fishing, short hiking, riding, yak riding, probe airag (fermented mare’s milk)
• Dinner and overnight in “Khangai” ger camp.

Day6 : Takhi Wild Horses of Hustai National Park

• Drive back to Ulaanbaatar (360 km on the highway)
• After 278 km of highway and 12 km very light off road 5 Hr , make a stop at the Hustai national park in Hustai mountains
• Visit to the local museum
• Possibility of watching the wild horse Takhi and Marmots
• Drive on highway to Ulaanbaatar (75km,1,5 Hr.).
• Dinner and overnight in hotel in Ulaanbaatar 4*

Day7: Ulaanbaatar

• Breakfast in hotel.
• Visit to the Palace Museum of Bogd Khan
• Guests can visit a cashmere shop – original Mongol cashmere products at factory prices.
• Dinner.
• Overnight in hotel.

 Day8: Departure

• Breakfast in hotel
• Departure
