Day1 Arrival in Ulaanbaatar. (L,D)
Met with your guide and driver in airport station they deliver you in a 3*hotel after rest you take a lunch in Mongolian local restaurant. Visit to Central square ( Sukhbaatar’s square) and you go to the world famous Gobi Mongolian cashmere shop. At there you can buy many gifts for your family and friends because these days all Mongolian shop has a special discount. At the evening your special dinner in local live music club River sound.
Overnight in hotel.
Day2 Last day of the 2010 (B,L,D):
Visit to Zaisan hill and see Ulaanbaatar city from there. And drive to the huge statue of Chinggis khan (Tsonjin boldog) located near from Ulaanbaatar. Where Genghis Khan had found a golden whip according to legend. The complex was designed by sculptors A 40 meter high statue on horseback was erected on a 10 meter high base, covered by stainless steel and surrounded by 36 columns. Those 36 columns are meant for the memorial of 36 kings intermarry from Genghis until Ligden Khan. A recreation area, restaurants, souvenir shop and conference hall occupy the base structure. From here, visitors will ascend to the exhibition hall using an elevator at the back of the horse. The visitors will walk to the head of the horse through chest and back neck of the horse, where they can have a panoramic view over the complex area. The main statue area will be surrounded by ger camps, designed and arranged like the pattern of the horse brand marks that were used by the 13th century Mongol tribes.
Evening and
dinner you spend 2010 and met with 2011 in Grand khan Irish pub. (The food is typical international pub fare, some
decent grilled meats and pretty good burgers. Drink. Fresh draught beer.
Draught Guinness stout all the way from Ireland is served with nice "Crema"
like in Dublin.
Music. Local bands are great young musicians playing both original and good
covers of rock and pop classics.
Atmosphere is so warm. Lively place where foreigners and locals hang out. Good
singles scene and people watching. Most important period is changing years
actually 24:00 pm. Just in this moment everyone blissful drink some champagne
with nice meal. It is great time to celebrate new year party. Overnight in hotel.
Day3. Departure day (B,L,D)
Drive to the Mongolian number one winter resort Sky established in 2006. This is a ski resort located near Ulaanbaatar . The resort is sited on Bogd Khan Uul, with a base of 1,570 meters (5,150 ft) and tops out at 1,379 meters (4,524 ft).
At there are many winter sport activities Downhill Skiing, Snowboarding, lifts, equipment rental, Ski/Snowboard school, restaurant .Dinner in Mongolian barbeque restaurant. Then nice rest in your hotel.
